Fr Theoklitos of Dionysiou, who came from Nafpaktos, was a significant contemporary figure on the Holy Mountain. He expressed Athonite spirituality, and was familiar with the method of life in Christ. He is a Philokalic Father of our era, who had an admirable way of combining praxis with theoria, asceticism with the Sacraments, and purification with illumination.
His torrent of words, his extraordinary intellectual and natural gifts, his dynamic writing style, his amazing memory and his complete knowledge of the holy Fathers contributed to his wonderful output of writings setting out the Orthodox theology of the Church and the value of traditional Orthodox monasticism.
